On October 6, 2025, during the EANM’25 Congress in Barcelona, the EANM Science Day welcomed high school and undergraduate students to explore the exciting and multidisciplinary world of nuclear medicine.
This event was part of the INSPIRE by EANM programme (Initiatives in Nuclear Medicine to Support Professional Interest and Recruitment in Europe), which aims to create an integrated framework of activities targeted at students, schools, universities, and other stakeholders to tackle the challenge of the healthcare workforce crisis in Europe and attract talent to nuclear medicine — securing the future of patient care.
What Made Science Day Special?
- Inspiring Opening: EANM President-Elect Paola Anna Erba delivered a motivating welcome speech.
- Hands-On Experience: Students engaged in interactive sessions and toured the INSPIRE by EANM Exhibit.
- Guided Support: Students were warmly welcomed and accompanied throughout the day by SEMNIM ambassadors — Ignasi Carrió, JR García, Elena Prieto, and Sergi Vidal — who provided guidance, encouragement, and insights into the field. Their presence helped create a welcoming and engaging environment, making the students feel part of the nuclear medicine community from the very beginning.
The event was filled with curiosity, enthusiasm, and meaningful interactions — a true celebration of young minds and their potential in nuclear medicine.
