Webinar IAEA: COVID-19 pandemic: transitioning to a ‘New-Normal’ – When and How

The COVID-19 pandemic is currently in transition. A few countries and regions have started experiencing a decrease in the number of new cases and associated deaths from COVID-19, and in other countries, lockdowns have been eased or partially lifted. In the midst of this time, it is essential to be diligent and prepare for a phase-based opening approach to avoid new spikes in cases. The measures taken to provide essential nuclear medicine services during the pandemic must be reassessed. Defining the ‘how and when’ to return to normality, or perhaps to the ‘new normality’, has never been as important as now.
This will be the subject of the third webinar in the series devoted to nuclear medicine departments, organized by the IAEA in cooperation with international experts and professional organizations.
